So , this pokepasta is centered about a tsareena who was rejected long ago when she was a young Steenee by another Steenee who competed against her and cheated to win, wanting to teach them the opposite, she fought legendary pokemon, including necrozma, which, would be the one who made her go insane and kill that Steenee, afterwards she would actually do that and kill the rest of the group.

The name is “Chronicles of Azures sorrow” not sure if I’m gonna change it tho-

I’ve been a Pokémon fan since the release of FRLG, which were I was 5 at that time, my first console was in the exact date of 07/11/09, my ninth birthday, my dad gifted me his gameboy advance and a DS, but I’d pay more attention to the gameboy advance for now, because B/W hadn’t released yet.

The gameboy advance had 2 games: sapphire and leafgreen, my dad told me that no game was reseted but if I’d like, I could do it with no problem, but I didn’t, because I wanted to see his Pokémon. First, I went to leafgreen, the entire game was complete, the team consisted of:

A Venusaur named daughter, in honor to me.

A Ninetales named blaze.

A jolteon named Dani in honor to my brother

A clefable in honor to my mother, because her favorite Pokémon is clefable.

A gengar named magenta, my dads favorite Pokémon.

And lastly.. a shiny ralts named Azure?

His entire team was about kanto pokemon, and there was a ralts? It seemed weird to me, maybe he got traded for it? I wasn’t sure, but honestly it didn’t matter to me a lot, and then switched to Sapphire.

I put the cartridge on and the game started, when I was finally in, the game hadn’t been completed, what I realized too is that there was only a single egg, but no pokemon? That was weird, because you can’t have a team with only one egg. I checked the boxes, and yes, there were pokemon, and the started, blaziken, named flame. I tried to put blaziken in the party , but the game just said:

“No.”

Wow! The game just told me straight up no? Well, that means I can’t progress and I would walk throughout hoenn for no reason! And what if a wild Pokémon appears? Honestly I didn’t know either at that time what I would do..

I walked in circles for 30 minutes straight in Mauville city and that’s where the egg hatched! I wasn’t happy because of the suffering that egg made me go through but I was happy too nonetheless because the i would maybe be getting a shiny!

And the egg cracked and! It was a.. shiny ralts? And it automatically named itself Azure.. maybe this was a coincidence? I wasn’t sure, but I just progressed the game as normal.. I thought I could finally add a Pokémon to my party, so I went to my boxes and tried to add that blaziken again, and the game again said:

“No.”

I was just straight up annoyed, and even more with the fact that I would need to go to early routes for this ralts to level up and get strong because it was level one and.. I was already in the fifth gym. I hated it.

The ralts finally leveled up to level 20 and evolved onto kirlia, I wasn’t still happy, because it wasn’t enough to defeat Norman, and I thought that a single gardevoir (if it even evolved) would defeat Norman, but I had the idea to taught gardevoir some fighting type moves if it even were possible.

I could finally catch Pokémon around level 15-20 , because all those weak Pokémon I grind for to make ralts stronger, didnt really help and we’re all one-shotted by my kirlia. So I went to route 104, and I needed to help Wally catch a ralts.. I didn’t want to do it but I would still need to because that stupid asthma kid couldn’t catch a ralts himself..

After helping Wally catch that ralts, I’d go and try to catch some wild Pokémon in the route 106, because I realized pokemon in route 104 were to low, and then finally I found a tentacool! Luckily

my kirlia didnt one shot it.. and it was low hp, so I threw a pokeball at it! And I caught it! It appeared on my pokedex, but.. when I checked my party..

The tentacool wasn’t there.. so I checked my boxes, and the tentacool wasn’t there either, what’s this? Some kind of those creepypasta Pokémon games that sometimes the protagonist your controlling or a Pokémon doesn’t let you certain stuff?

And another text appeared on the screen:

“ please no. “

Who was asking in the first place? Was the game just not wanting me to catch Pokémon or something? I hated this a lot! So I decided to remove the sapphire cartridge and put on the leafgreen cartridge, and I was very angry seeing that shiny ralts again, so I decided to release it. I explored normally because my dad had already finished the game. Pretty much everything I did was complete the pokedex he didn’t and battle the elite four repeatedly.

It was already 5AM of 07/12/09 , so I turned off my gameboy advance and went straight up to sleep afterwards.

I dreamed with a shiny gardevoir, looking at me crying, like if something had traumatized her, I heard a voice on my dream that would be the finish of that dream afterwards:

“ I’ll be there and always .. “

I woke up at 9AM, freaked out because of that dream (my child self originally saw it as a nightmare) and quickly did the hygiene stuff everyone does and then went to my gameboy advance, checked the leafgreen version and for some reason, the shiny ralts was still there even if I released it some hours ago, that’s what the dream meant when it said “ill be there and always” , then I checked my sapphire version, the opening was normal and all, but when it started another of those text appeared:

“ is there any reason why do you wanna get rid of me? I’m trying my best.. I don’t want to be left in the boxes again. “

So that kirlia was talking to me? It was sentient about it? That kirlia doesn’t wanna be left in the boxes again? My dad left the egg for so long in the boxes? That explains why the egg had been there since 02/18/2004…

I felt bad for the Pokémon, being left alone for five years is.. just too lonely.

The screen turned black, and I saw the kirlia there.

“ I’m sorry if I’m not good enough .. “

I started tearing up because I could feel that azures words were actually sincere, and that she was trying her best to be a good pokemon, I started talking to the azure on the gameboy (which at that time my child thought I was being an idiot)

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a good pokemon or not, im sorry if I haven’t been good to you.. I just wanna progress the game…”

Azure responded with another text:

“ I’ll.. do my best, but please don’t replace me with any other Pokémon .. I dont wanna wait anymore. “

After that, the texts stopped, the black screen and the kirlia faded so I could progress the game normally now. For now, i focused on getting my kirlia evolved to ralts, for that, I defeated around 40 pokemon and fought 10 trainers

The challenge is to create a pokepasta OC! For those who don't know, OC is short for original character. There's no need to write a whole story for them. All you have to do is make a character, or multiple connected characters-- a trainer and Pokemon duo, for example. Sounds easy, right? The catch is that you need to work in teams of two to four!

You can organize your team however you'd like. You can assign distinct roles to each team member, such as artist or lore writer, or you can all get in a chatroom and brainstorm together. Anything works, as long as everyone contributes! Each team is permitted to submit one entry, so make it count!

In short, here are the requirements for an entry:

• Create a character or characters that could be written into a pokepasta

• Include least one drawing of each character, depicting their whole body

• Include at least three sentences of backstory or lore

• Mention whether you're ok with others using the character or characters

If you decide to enter, you can post your finished entry as a blog post and add the Team OC challenge 2024 category. Please do not post anything unrelated in that category! Additionally, do not post entries as pages unless they include an entire pokepasta! If you do finish a story featuring an OC created for this challenge, you may post it as a page and put it in the same category.

If you want to participate but don't have anyone to work with, reply to this post with "looking for team" or something to that effect, or look through the replies for someone else looking. Feel free to reply with questions, too-- we don't bite!
